Hello,
I normally don't take part in feedback and reviews because there is already too much competition going on in our world.
But I want to make an exception because I enjoy my new ANTIQUE II so much that I think it is only fair to let you know.
It is my first solid metal fountain pen, my other pens are all made of plastic/acrylic or whatever artificial material.
I was interested to find out if the review I watched on YouTube was true in stating that although the pen is made of solid brass it has a very nice balance when holding the pen writing.
And it was true! I like the aspect of its fantastic balance in my hand a lot!
I also love the very smooth Bock nib (size B), I have fountain pens with similar nibs but they all have a tendency to dry out quickly or they don't respond flawlessly at all on brushed or coated paper.
I used a RHODIA No. 18 writing pad to test my pen, it has Ivory Brushed Vellum paper and is tricky if the pen's nib doesn't allow for a wet enough ink flow - no problem with the ANTIQUE II!
I've been trying out three different inks so far, all without any problem:
Pilot's Iroshizuku syo-ro and Iroshizuku shin-kai as well as Verdigris, an ink from the Schreibtinte line by German manufacturer Rohrer & Klingner. All high-quality inks for fountain pens, they all come out great on white or ivory coloured paper!

May I include a short question in my review?:
Is it possible to obtain another of your converters for the ANTIQUE II?
It works better than some of the 'generic' converters you can get for standard European ink cartridges, is easily disassembled to be cleaned and I would like a spare one just in case.

Exquisitely constructed without a single flaw, it truly is like a piece of [writing] jewellery. The barrel is extraordinarily smooth as a result of the resin coating, which will protect the Mother of Pearl for decades. The beautiful silver colour complements the MOP and is also wonderfully smooth. The pen is perfectly balanced, and with a converter, easy to fill. I bought the EF and it's a dream to write with. For me personally, I cannot find a flaw in this pen. So glad I bought it that I 'm now buying the rollerball. Very impressed with Laban and I happily highly recommend the company and the pens
It looks great and feels even better in the hand. Writing is very smooth, with a nice amount of feedback.

A little expensive than normal retailers but ok
I really love Laban pens and the Taroko is one of my favourite. It writes extremely well and has a very nice smooth nib. The build quality is very good. The amber marble resin on the Pinnacle looks superb and along with the design gives this pen a really classy vintage look and feel. Photos don't really do the pen justice, one need to hold it to appreciate it.
I'd love to have a Taroko in a tortoiseshell resin, like the one used on the Mento (which looks absolutely brilliant), I think the Taroko would look extremely cool in the tortoiseshell resin and silver trim. I think it would be very popular, please make it for me!
Die Füllfedern von Laban sind haptisch sehr angenehm, schreiben sich flüssig; der Tintenfluss ist gut. Ebenso die Tinten von Laban. Ich schreibe mit Ares-Rot und Merkur-Blau. Es war alles sehr gut verpackt und der Versand aus Taiwan war vorbildlich! Ich kaufe gerne wieder.

I’ve had this pen for a few weeks now. It does have a few hard starts but it’s a lovely pen. Definitely good for small(er) hands. Would I buy another? Probably not but that won't stop me from loving and cherishing this one!

This is my first Laban pen. I have 10 others. The entire transaction was flawless. Delivery was on time and the condition of the pen was excellent. Clearly this is my most beautiful pen with the finish showing multiple color variations in both the red and white resins. The gold fittings and trim make it elegant and classy. It has a great weight and feel and writes smoothly. It was a Christmas gift from my wife and she out-did herself with this pen!
The packaging is exquisite. My new pen arrived in stellar condition as it was packaged with care. Delivery was smooth and timely. I am happy with my purchase!
